@nazgulero Thanks for that. Actually it is also possible todo this technique with only a few images instead of hundreds like I did here, anybody can do it and any camera will work really , I gjust go overboard … Regards: Eric
Absolutely stunning ! Few people these days have the patience to do the lighting like you do, but it sure pays off !
You must have a ton of patience. I could survive 400 shots but 600+? I think I would pass. But this is truly inspirational and beautiful!!!
@Daniel94801 Yes extreamly exagerated. I like to think of it as hyper photograhic…
@mychokehold Maybe but I do nto think so as there is almost no photoshop involved other than stacking layers in the image. think of it more as multiple exposures instead of computer manipulation. I do nto manipulate the image, only add layers form individual exposures really. Still…. I’m only the photographer, not a purest so who knows….
@blukoo Hi. Actually I have an ebook out now. It covers all the photoshop, lighting and concepts etc in the making of these shots. go to my web site and pick it up it is cheap to buy. regards: Eric Curry
@waltography Crazy like a fox. it is a lot of work but the results are pretty interesting.
600 + photos, wow that’s crazy
Fantastic!! I’d love to see a video of your photoshop workflow, I imagine it would be fascinating! Thank you for sharing your art with us x
@blukoo Hi Yourself. Sure. I use hand held flood lights like the kine you use in camping. You can buy them in hard ware stores or home depote etc. I use a Brinkman Max Million. go to brinkman . com and look up hte lights. I use the kind that have a syperate battery so I can change the battery when they get tired, not change the whole light. YOu can also use a Mag Light is the set is not too bit, they are great because you can focus them brighter or softer nad wider etc.. Take Care: Eric
Hi. Can you give me an idea of what type of light source you use for these images?
They’re brilliant and i’d like to try something like this myself.
Thanks for the inspiration.
@mychokehold Who Knows? I still think of them very much as photographs. In the old days of dodging and burning on regular black and white photo paper, at what point was the print no longer an exact repersentation of the origional scene captured. If you look at one of Ansel Adams spectackular photogrphas of Yosemite for example, his lab tech would spend hours in the dark room dodging and burning in addition to the laborious process of exposing and developing via the Zone System.
at what point does it stop being a photograph and just become a photoshopped image? probably at this point…
@blockhead219 You have a magazine? which magazine do you own? contact me… Eric Curry
nice photo shoot this would be a perfect cover for my maginze
Hey Grizzie. thanks, I could do a wonderful cover but sadly it would be expensive as it takes me so long to make these. I usually do not do them as commercial works because of the cost. They are too expensive to sell, so I have to give them away, un like my regular commercial works .
Take care and good luck with your music. Eric
you do magic
you would make my album cover a masterpiece
exagerated
@gmccracken01 Thanks . NO I do not think, I am sure that it would be different, the effect comes form controlled lighting, HDR is sort of an effect that comes form tweaking an existing image. The look though somewhat similar to the eye at first glance, is to me totally different and does not have the same “Character” Still….. In all all is allowed . Take Care. Eric
Awesome work! How would the shots turn out if blended with an HDR program like Photomatix? Would it save the time it takes to do them all in Photoshop? Or would you not get the same creative control?
I look real !!!! nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!1
@rien515 i saw your photo and it sucks ass.
Brinkman corporation has them. some are battery powered and some have an external battery.
I like the one million Big Max and the 250 candle power one too. I use external batteries.
If you use an internal battery you will only get about 20 minutes of usage and if you do multiple versions of each component yo will not have enough juice to do a large scene.
Hope that helps.
Hi Im sorry im sure someone has already asked this, I tried looking for the awnser in your other videos but couldnt find it.
I was wondering what light to get from home depot. I went there today to look for one and no one could help me. I looked at the floodlights but they are not battery powered. And obviously to do this outside in any location you need a battery one. Do you by any chance no what area the light you purchased was? By the Batterys or Floodlights. Thank you very much.YOU ROCK
@haterfromkalihi You can.. It only needs a cheap digital camera and a flashlight and a tripod. Honestly and seriously. That’s it! Give it a try.
