@jimbob6323 I would have to say from experence the Yamaha Royal Star holds it’s value just as well as a Harley. I recently sold one of each and the resale of the Yamaha was better than the Harley.

I own an 06 rstd and the stature is larger and more comfortable than the bagger. I have road the bagger, the rstd is more refined and is smooter at all rpm ranges.
Both great bikes. Rode 6200 Km with a group of 8 HD baggers and 1 lonely Royal Star – but the RS had a slight edge on our baggers going uphill and especially at high altitude it seemed, and every time he passed me, I found the bike attractive and the riding position looked quite comfy. Fit & finish was better than expected and an aftermarket pipe gave it a nice throaty sound. Still prefer the street glide…but can’t knock the Royal Star.
There is always some very unhappy person with something negative to say about people they have never met. How sad your life must be for you to have to? surf the net in search of an opportunity to anonymously spread your negativity, insecurity and despair. Happy, secure intelligent , positive people say happy, positive intelligent things.

This sounded like a NASA space toilet instruction video. Actually that would be cool, I wonder if there are any of those on youtube…

I think you compared the bikes tastefully, but when it comes down to it, as long as people are out there riding on what THEY like. That is what it is all about. Peace

A Raider isn’t a touring bike. But I gotta agree, there fast as hell!
Listen to it. The Yamaha beat the Harley. More power (beat it on the dyno), better handling, better saddlebags, removable windscreen and back rest (without having to pay extra as you do with Harley). Face it, Harley had it’s day. It’s time for them to wake up and start pricing there bikes and parts in the realistic range. You can wave the American flag all day, (I am a veteran of the US Army) but Harley is no more American made anymore than the Yamaha or any other brand. Look at the packaging!!!
